Residential complexes, as containers of collective life, give form, character, and quality to social life. Insufficient understanding of individual and social issues of residents and inappropriate strategies for housing provision have led to social problems. It is often observed in residential complexes that there is an increase in individualism and a decrease in relationships and social interactions among residents. The present research aims to answer the question of the extent to which socialization components affect social interactions and residents' satisfaction with their living place. The research methodology was quantitative and field-based, and for the case study analysis, a questionnaire assessing the indicators was prepared and distributed among 105 residents of the Zeytoon Residential Complex located in Sari, which has a total of 412 building units. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software. The findings of this study indicate that design focused on structural features of the space can significantly improve social interactions and create safe and appropriate spaces, thereby enhancing residents' satisfaction. Therefore, this article serves as a detailed and practical information source on optimizing social spaces and improving the quality of life for residents of residential complexes, offering solutions and suggestions.
